What Are Verderflex Slurry Pumps?
  • Technology: These are peristaltic hose pumps — the fluid (slurry) is contained entirely within a flexible hose, which gets periodically compressed by a rotor to move the fluid. 

  • Abrasive Resistance: They’re very abrasion resistant. The hose is built to withstand high wear, and hose life doesn’t depend directly on how abrasive the slurry is. 

  • High Solids Handling: Some Verderflex hose pumps can handle up to ~80% solid content and slurries with specific gravities (SG) over 

  • Pressure & Flow: Depending on the model, they can deliver very high flow rates (for example, up to ~90 m³/h) and pressures up to ~16 bar. 

  • Suction Lift: They offer strong self-priming capability, with suction lift up to about 9.5 m water column. 

  • Dry Running: These pumps can run dry (i.e., without fluid) without getting damaged. 

  • Reversible Operation: The rotor/hose arrangement allows the pump to reverse, which helps clear blockages. 

  • Reliable, Low Maintenance: Since only the hose is in contact with the slurry (no internal seals), maintenance is simpler — you only replace the hose.

Triple Screw Pumps are positive displacement pumps of very simple design. They consist of three rotating parts only “the rotors” which turn in their precisely machined housing bores. The rotors are of double start screws, continuously meshing to form delivery Chambers, which move constantly from the suction to the pressure / discharge side. Constant volume of the chambers and the uniformity of the movement allow an even flow. The pumps remain therefore near silent in operation and almost free of pulsation, even at high speed. The Principle of screw pump and its accurate profiles warrant high suction power. Axial loads on the rotor are compensates by adequate design of the bearing part. All the radial loads are self-compensated.
